Dear Feminism and Family Science Section members,
Thank you for participating in the 2025 NCFR Election! Unfortunately, we've identified a technical issue that affects the Feminism and Family Science (FFS) Section's Students and New Professionals (SNP) Representative vote. Due to an error by NCFR's election vendor,
ElectionBuddy, an incorrect candidate profile was displayed on the live ballot from
8 a.m. CT, February 1, until 11 a.m. CT, February 3. The issue was corrected at 11 a.m. CT, February 3, and has been accurate since.
This error affected only the FFS SNP vote; all other votes remain unaffected.
To ensure fairness, the NCFR Board of Directors has authorized a
special election for the FFS SNP positions.
• The special ballot will go live on
Thursday, February 6, at 10 a.m. CT, and will be sent to all FFS Section members.
• Votes previously cast for the FFS SNP positions will no longer be valid.
• All other votes cast from the national NCFR ballot will remain valid.
We sincerely apologize for this error. To ensure your vote counts, please participate in both the national ballot (emailed Feb. 1) and the upcoming special election ballot (to be emailed Feb. 6).
If you have questions and concerns, please reach out via email at governance@ncfr.org.
Sincerely,
Alicia Jaworski, J.D.
Director of Governance, Board and Section Operations
