New Articles by NCFR Members
Read Family Focus: Families in the Shadows

Family Scientists promote the well-being and resiliency of diverse families. Through research, practice, policy, and teaching we strive to shine light on the “unseen” – families that are often unrecognized, less studied, underserved, or not valued.

In this issue of "Family Focus" — a section of member magazine NCFR Report contributing authors showcase a tapestry of scholarship that illuminate these families and their unique needs out of the shadows and into the light.

Access to Family Focus articles is a benefit of NCFR membership (Join or renew today!). Members will be required to log in.

NCFR Journals
Introducing JFTR's Emerging Voices

Toward the mission of nurturing the contributions of emerging family scholars, NCFR's Journal of Family Theory & Review (JFTR) introduces a new genre of submissions titled Emerging Voices.

Building on the legacy of the Original Voices feature of JFTR, where prominent scholars analyze the theoretical implications of their work, Emerging Voices will offer brief and timely theoretical commentaries (10-15 manuscript pages) from Students and New Professionals about current topics and ideas that they would like to bring to the Family Science discipline.

Those who are interested in submitting to Emerging Voices should reach out to Deputy Editor Caroline Sanner (csanner@vt.edu). The editors will work with interested authors in developing their manuscript to its fullest potential.
