Gender Development, Identity, and Expression:A Biopsychosocial Perspective Wednesday, March 20 / 11 a.m. – Noon CT Presented by Hilary A. Rose, Ph.D., CFLE
Gender development is vastly more complex and complicated than simple dichotomies or traditional binaries. Models have been developed to help understand this multifaceted trait but have yet to fully explain variations with gender over time.
To begin clarifying this intricacy, Hilary Rose, Ph.D., CFLE, will provide evidence surrounding the complexities of gender development, gender identity, and gender expression from a biopsychosocial perspective. This will include information and
examples on the uniqueness of each level or stage of gender development.
This webinar will be useful for those wishing to better understand the complexities of gender development and gender diversity to support their own personal and professional relationships.

Introduction to Machine Learning Monday, March 25 / Noon – 1:30 p.m. CT Presented by Wonkyung Jang, Ph.D.
Larger datasets and use of predictive analytical techniques have advanced the conclusions being made with Family Science research. Trying to understand all possible algorithms or intricate patterns with large datasets can be time- consuming and cost prohibitive leaving nuanced patterns and relationships unnoticed. A solution to this challenge is using machine learning (ML) techniques to extract meaning from data. As an emerging skill within the Family Science discipline, ML offers a powerful toolkit to extract deeper insights from complex datasets, uncovering nuanced patterns and relationships that may have previously gone unnoticed.
Wonkyung Jang, Ph.D., will offer an exciting exploration of ML and its transformative applications in Family Science. Attendees will learn about real-world case studies demonstrating how ML has driven breakthroughs in Family Science, and be provided with hands-on guidance on processing, cleaning, managing, and analyzing data.
Approved for 1.5 hours of CFLE continuing education

Zippy's Video of the Week National π Day
Let's take a day to celebrate Pi Day. Pi is the mathematical constant as it goes on infinitely, never repeating itself, pretty cool huh! Its digital value starts out with the numbers 3, 1, and 4 (3.14) so it is often celebrated on March 14. Fun fact, it is also Albert Einstein's birthday.
