Upcoming Webinar Gender Development, Identity, and Expression: A Biopsychosocial Perspective Wednesday, March 20 / 11 a.m. – Noon CT Facilitator: Hilary A. Rose, Ph.D., CFLE
Gender development is vastly more complex and complicated than simple dichotomies or traditional binaries. Models have been developed to help understand this multifaceted trait but have yet to fully explain variations with gender over time.
To begin clarifying this intricacy, this webinar will provide evidence surrounding the complexities of gender development, gender identity, and gender
expression from a biopsychosocial perspective. This will include information and examples on the uniqueness of each level or stage of gender development.
This webinar will be useful for those wishing to better understand the complexities of gender development and gender diversity to support their own personal and professional relationships.
Approved for 1.0 hour of CFLE continuing education

Call for Articles: Family Focus Sibling Interactions and Family Dynamics Submit Your Proposal by March 7 The centrality of siblings as a source of influence and tension in family life is well-established. What about the complexity of sibling interactions in the midst of global uncertainty and rapid social change?
Family Scientists are invited to offer insights on sibling interactions and family dynamics during times of social change and growing uncertainty about the future.
Example topics include:
- How does caring for aging parents affect sibling relationships?
- If and when do siblings share information about unknown siblings?
- What role does social media play in sibling connection and interaction?
- How do siblings adapt to alienation and exclusion?
Prospective authors should submit their proposals by March 7 using this online submission form. Contact the editor with questions.
