The Department of Family Science, School of Public Health, University of Maryland, College Park seeks a full-time (12 month) non-tenure track faculty member (Assistant Clinical Professor) to direct all administrative, fiscal, and clinical operations of the Center for Healthy Families, the couple and family therapy clinic housed in the Department. The candidate should be able to: (1) manage the operations of all clinical activities (e.g., therapy services, clinical supervision, in-service trainings, recording and electronic records systems, etc.), (2) teach, mentor and supervise students; and (3) provide relevant service to the department, university and profession.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a master’s degree in marriage/couple and family therapy. The candidate must be a licensed marriage and family therapist (eligible for licensing in Maryland), be a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and hold AAMFT approved supervisor status. Applicants with a PhD in Marriage/Couple and Family Therapy or Family Science are also encouraged to apply. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to collaboration, cultural competence and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of clinical experience and will have demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, administration, and teaching/mentoring. The ideal candidate will have a record that is consistent with the Department’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity and social justice. Fluency in Spanish is preferable.
