NCFR awards recognize those who further the interests of NCFR, and exemplify the standards to which members aspire. Award recipients are distinguished colleagues who have dedicated themselves to working in the family field and have achieved outstanding accomplishments.

The Family-Centered Participatory Action Research (FCPAR) Focus Group brings together family scholars and practitioners to advance FCPAR, an approach that centers families as partners and knowledge holders in the research process.

NCFR Journals Apply for an Editorial Fellowship With Family Relations
Application Deadline: April 10, 2026
The editorial team of NCFR’s Family Relations: Interdisciplinary Journal of Applied Family Science is seeking three Editorial Fellows, with the objective of increasing participation in the editorial process for early-career professionals and those who have an interest in Family Science. Persons whose voices have historically been underrepresented are encouraged to apply.
Fellows will develop experience with and skills in manuscript review, editorial processes, and evaluation of translational implications of research, and will become familiar with Family Science research from around the world.
Apply by April 10, 2026. Successful candidates will be notified by mid-April/early May 2026. Fellowships will run from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027, with the possibility of extending into a second year.
