NCFR MEMBER OPPORTUNITIES

NCFR Student Access Grant

NCFR Grants

Today’s the Day — Let’s Reach Our Goal Together

Invest in Students of Color Today!

Over 300 students have received life-changing access to opportunities in Family Science through NCFR Student Access Grants. Today, we have the chance to open even more doors for students in Family Science.

With your help, we are striving to raise $10,000 to support Students of Color — and your contribution is part of what makes this possible. When you give, you help provide a student with:

  • Full access to the 2026 NCFR Annual Conference
  • $500 travel stipend
  • One-year NCFR membership (first-time members)

This is a shared effort — and every gift moves us forward. If every NCFR member gave just $5, we would reach our goal today and expand access for students who need it most.

FUND A STUDENT'S FUTURE

If giving isn’t possible right now, you can still be part of this impact. Joining NCFR or renewing your membership strengthens the programs and opportunities that support emerging Family Science professionals.

Together, we’re not just meeting a goal — we’re shaping who has access to the future of this field.

Deaf Actors Recreate Disney Songs in American Sign Language

We don't talk about Bruno, but now we can sign about him!

In honor of National Deaf History Month, three popular Disney animated songs have been reimagined in American Sign Language (ASL), highlighting the language’s rich visual expression through movement and performance.

Featuring work by Deaf actors who helped interpret and choreograph each piece, the project showcases how storytelling and music can be experienced in new, more inclusive ways—celebrating Deaf culture and the power of accessible art.

Songs with ASL include “Beyond” from Moana 2, “The Next Right Thing” from Frozen 2, and “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto. The songs were all made available April 27 on Disney's streaming platform and you can watch highlights in the video linked below.
