Dear ,
For students pursuing careers in Family Science, access to professional development can be life changing. The National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) Student Access Grant provides students from historically marginalized racial communities with opportunities to grow, connect, and thrive. Help NCFR raise $30,000 in April 2025 to support 100 Students of Color this year. There's just a couple days left in this important campaign!
The impact is real. Here’s what past grant recipients have shared:
“Receiving the NCFR Student Access Grant was a transformative experience in my academic and professional journey. This grant allowed me to attend the NCFR 2024 Annual Conference in person for the first time, where I had the opportunity to engage with leading scholars in Family Science, connect with peers, and gain invaluable insights that have shaped my research and career trajectory within human development and Family Science.” - Qingyang Liu, 2024 Recipient
“Receiving the grant helped offset some of the financial burden with attending the conference and also provided me with encouragement and helped me feel included. As a Latino, having access to high quality professional development experiences, such as the NCFR conference, is crucial to my growth.” - Matthew Rodriguez, 2021 Recipient
“At the conference, I had the privilege of sharing my research on parent-child relationships and teen tobacco use, engaging with experts who provided valuable feedback that enhanced my future work. Attending the conference also allowed me to expand my professional network. I connected with scholars and professionals who now serve as independent references, and I met like-minded researchers with whom I am having an ongoing conversation about collaborating on future research projects.” - Lawal Olanrewaju, 2024 Recipient |
